For their most popular annual event, Linklaters wanted a bespoke ‘pin-up and keep’ invite in an unusual format, to follow in the successful footsteps of the previous years’ invitation (available to view here).
In keeping with the Moroccan theme of the event, we included the surprise element of a mint tea bag concealed inside the folded invitation, which was only revealed once the invite was opened. Tea plays an important role in Moroccan culture and mint tea is a drink of hospitality that is traditionally served to guests, so its inclusion in the invite helped set the tone for the event. The client was so enamoured with the idea that they asked us to provide additional Linklaters-branded tea bags as their favours.
The invitation design itself features a flood of silver ink on the exterior, with a Moroccan-design inspired sticker to seal the petal-folds (the same design as on the front of the tea bag card). In contrast when the invitation is opened, the interior reveals a riot of pattern and colour. Silver foil is used to highlight parts of the design, and combined with the pearlescent stock it adds a glamorous and elegant touch.
